Meet the Curators
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, we’re a small family of artists, makers, and collectors connected by blood and heart. We share a love for our community, quirky vintage, and exploring the creative world around us.
We set out to create a unique way for Poughkeepsie to explore micro brands and under-the-radar talent. Moxie brings together all of our personalities into one creative space. Our foundation is simple: give artists a platform to be seen and sold while spreading some joy in the process. There’s no gate-keeping, no velvet ropes, just art (and stuff) that makes you feel something.
Moxie is many things: a shop, a gallery, a hangout, a launchpad. But above all, it’s a labor of love. We hope it inspires you the way it inspires us.
Meagan Donovan - Locke
Stone Ridge, NY | She/Her
A makeup artist, digital designer, collector, and marketing professional in the Hudson Valley. Meagan is the business side of the operation, sourcing funky finds from small brands across the country. When she’s not running her marketing firm, Social Output Marketing and Design, she’s scoping out new finds and exploring the events that bring this region to life.
Meagan’s artistic practice spans digital media, vintage restoration, ceramics, and the written word.
Sean Donovan + Shannon Ramos
Beacon, NY | He/Him + She/Her
This duo is the lifeblood of Moxie’s creative core. Partners in life, love, and business, Sean and Shannon are closely connected to a diverse community of creators in the Hudson Valley.
When Shannon isn’t creating original art or trinkets for the shop, she’s tattooing full-time at Smoke Signals Tattoo down the block or roller skating in town.
Sean is a sign painter, typography artist, and muralist in the Hudson Valley. He, alongside Shannon, is responsible for many of the iconic murals and collaborative pop-ups in the Beacon and Greater HV area.
Sean and Shannon curate Moxie’s artist exhibitions and the local makers contributing their incredible work to our space.
